Steps to Reproduce:
1.select bullets and numbering on a list
2.customise it
3.change the indentation in the position tab
4.Hit OK and find that the indentation hasn't changed

Roel, thank you for reporting the bug. It seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Roel, please write exact steps what you did and preferably attach sample file, best with some screenshot inserted.

I guess this is NotABug, per https://help.libreoffice.org/7.1/en-US/text/shared/01/06050600.html which says for Indent at:
"Enter the distance from the left page margin to the start of all lines in the numbered paragraph that follow the first line."
So, not for the 1st line.
