It's not a matter of preference, but of fidelity.
In this case, the ODT and the DOCX are the same in LibreOffice, which is the expected behaviour.
OTOH, the document is displayed differently in MSO, so the problem is in the DOCX export

Reproduced in

Also reproduced in

in previous versions is even worse.

I don't understand this bug. Looks OK in MSO 2016.

Telesto, please always attach screenshot and write Word version.
Xisco, please show some toolbar so it's clear what's what (I guess it's by order, but better to show).

Hi Timur,
How is it possible all the text in your screenshot ( even in the ODT ) is above the images ?

Comparison ODT-LO DOCX-LO7.0+ DOCX-MSO2016 before "Press Enter Here"

I attached before comparison after "Press Enter Here".
Now I attach comparison before, just simple fileopen.
I don't see an issue.
Comment 9 Timur 2020-05-07 11:13:16 UTC
Telesto didn't write Word version and Xisco's is 2010.
Since mine is 2016, I'll consider this MS issue and close.
Feel free to reopen if you can explain otherwise.
