Description:
Alt+enter not working after page break

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Writer
2. CTRL+Enter
3. Insert a table
4. Select cell A1
5. Alt+Enter

Actual Results:
New paragraph first page

Expected Results:
New paragraph above table


Reproducible: Always

I reproduced this issue on both the Alpha version and the Live one too.

For the 5th step there is no need to select the column. The issue is reproducible by just clicking inside the A1 cell and then pressing Alt+Enter.
The issue that I’m seeing is that the paragraph is added on the first page and not directly before the table. Based on the LO documentation, the Alt+Enter command should be “Inserting a new paragraph directly before or after a section or a table”.

Moreover in my opinion this issue should be fixed as it is a symptom for a much bigger issue resulting in crashing the writer. I described the issue in the following ticket: Bug 133489. I’m saying that this is a symptom both because the steps are very similar and I encountered the crash while attempting to replicate this ticket.
