Cannot confirm. Styles & Formatting sidebar > table styles contains all the beauty.

Version 6.4.0.3 from TDF
Comment 2 Alex Thurgood 2020-05-14 07:25:32 UTC
@Telesto : can you list the styles you see please ?

I see 17 table styles in the sidebar (these are translations into English from the French, so may not accurately represent the EN version of LO :

3D
Blue
Grey
Yellow
Lavender
Brown
Currency
Currency 3D
Currecny Grey
Currency Lavender
Currency Turquoise
Black 1
Black 2
Red
Default
Turquoise
Green

All of them perform particularly strange operations, but perhaps that is just my subjective visual appreciation.

For example, if I select a complete table, and choose Yellow, I actuall get various shades of *green* and only 1 yellow line.

If I choose Turquoise, I get some weird, irregular distribution of turquoise-shaded cells with a block of 2 different tones of light grey cells in the middle of the table.

Beauty is very subjective. Personally, I think they look awful and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Table Styles included in LO6432 on macOS

Am enclosing a Writer document with the applied table styles that can be found in LO6432 on macOS

Isn't this a DUP of bug 115448 ?
Or, even a DUP of bug 57466 ?
Comment 7 Alex Thurgood 2020-05-14 07:45:55 UTC
If it is bug 57466 (first reported in 2012), it is still pretty crap that a user should be forced to create a new profile in 2020 in order to correctly display developer-introduced XCU configuration settings.

Testing with
Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha1
Build ID: 6a03b2a54143a9bc0c6d4c7f1...
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.4; UI render: GL; VCL: osx;
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

shows the same table styles list in the sidebar as in LO6432
Comment 9 Heiko Tietze 2020-05-14 08:02:07 UTC
Please try again after cleaning the user profile or after starting in safe mode. TS should be Default, Academic, Box List <colors>, Elegant, Financial, Simple (2x). The relative beauty should also be higher than with the old TS.
Comment 10 Alex Thurgood 2020-05-14 08:26:35 UTC
Confirming that creation of a new profile solves the issue and that the new table styles are available with

Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha1
Build ID: 6a03b2a54143a9bc0c6d4c7f1...
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.4; UI render: default; VCL: osx;
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Closing as DUP of bug 57466
