Created attachment 160654 [details] Sample file on which bug was exhibited # Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to any column. 2. Press CTRL+DOWN until you reach the last row. Issue: LibreOffice hangs once it reaches the last row # Tested on: LibreOffice Calc: Version: 6.4.3.2 (x64) CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: default; VCL: win; Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI-Language: en-GB Calc: threaded # How I found the bug I use the hotkey CRTL+DOWN to jump to the last row of data quite a bit, which is just one more button press to jump beyond the last row of data to the last row of the spreadsheet (row 1048575) by mistake. When this happens it causes LibreOffice to hang on the spreadsheet attached. I have been trying to press CTRL+HOME to get back to the first cell in the spreadsheet. Sometimes this works, but usually I have to force quit the whole program and reopen the spreadsheet. # More info As posted on the following "Ask Libreoffice" thread: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/239575/libreoffice-calc-hanging-when-jumping-to-last-row/
Repro with Version: 6.4.4.1 (x64) Build ID: b50bc319eca5cd5b66fbfe2ebd0d3bd1eed099b5 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: GL; VCL: win; Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US Calc: CL. It only hangs for me if I allow automatic update of external links (a yellow infobar on top of the document).
@Mike Kaganski, thanks for being the first to test! That's worth noting, though I get the bug even without automatic updating of external links. Also, this may be obvious, but it only triggers Windows to report the LibreOffice as having crashed (visible as it blurs out and says [Not Responding] in top bar), when you try interacting with the spreadsheet whun it is on the final row.
Looking with the navigator there are about 68 copies of 'custom shape 1' draw object, but clicking on some of them goes nowhere.
(In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #3) > Looking with the navigator there are about 68 copies of 'custom shape 1' > draw object, but clicking on some of them goes nowhere. Likely related to tdf#117274. OP could possibly resolve the problem by double-clicking each of them then Delete; yet, the performance problem here could be a separate issue worth investigating (?).
Double also does nothing, apparently.(In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #4) > ..... > double-clicking each of them then Delete; yet, the performance problem here > could be a separate issue worth investigating (?). Looks the issue what tdf#117274 is about, should be solved with 6.4, if saved with 6.3 issue remains. But what seems different it's than double also does nothing (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117274#c37), apparently, and with no delay I can select a cell. There are also issues with links on xlsx, tdf#76047
(In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #5) > Double also does nothing, apparently.(In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment > #4) It does something. Check how *toolbars* change when you double-click an object in Navigator; pressing Delete immediately after double-click deletes the object (and the list decreases one by one).
(In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #6) > (In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #5) > .... > the object (and the list decreases one by one). Forgive, I can see it with: Version: 6.4.4.1 (x64) Build ID: b50bc319eca5cd5b66fbfe2ebd0d3bd1eed099b5 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19608; UI render: GL; VCL: win; Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI-Language: en-US Calc: CL and Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 97a2c1fc5e376c0c00968f17a0392c6d3a5ed565 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19608; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win; Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
Dear Artur, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
