Description MARINA-SODA 2020-05-15 10:45:30 UTC
Description:
I'm a user of Libre Calc only(all installed but..). so I report by Calc.
I'm seeing this since three years ago.
Now my Libre ver is 6.3x

Calc keeps what you copy on Calc.
Calc does not replace the clipboard at the newer copy at other softwares.

Steps to Reproduce:
Please Carry out steps 1-3 in order.

1.copy any text on notepad.exe ->paste Calc
2.copy any cell on Calc -> paste notepad.exe
3.type any text on notepad.exe ->copy it -> Paste on Calc

Actual Results:
1 OK
2 OK
3 NOT

Expected Results:
1 OK
2 OK
3 OK

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
If you repeat steps 1-3 more than once, you will see steps 2-3 repeat.
And the state of 1 is never seen.

Thank you for reporting the bug.

Unfortunately without clear steps to reproduce it, we cannot track down the origin of the problem.

Please provide a clearer set of step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem.

For example, please clarify "paste Calc" and "Paste on Calc".
Are you pasting into a text box or into a cell?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested information is provided.

On Ver 7.0.0.3
Not solved.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeez refresh the clipboard after cut or copy always.
STOP using the Libre-only clipboard,I'm begging you to stop.

It's a lie that I can't reproduce it and it's been reported over 10 years ago.

I’VE NO CLIPBOARD WARE.
Comment 8 MARINA-SODA 2020-08-24 01:06:56 UTC
It is a lie that cannot be reproduced and it has been reported for more than 10 years.

Hello Marina,

you have written Actual Results:
1 OK
2 OK
3 NOT

What does mean the NOT OK? What exactly happens?

Also try it in safe mode (HELP > Restart in safe mode).
And also try Win+V, enable history of clipboard and then you can check, what exactly was in your clipboard. Then you can compare that what was in clipboard and what was pasted into calc.

Give us info about this, thanks.

I do now cases where clipboard can get 'stuck'.. not showing paste while content present on the clipboard. However pasting 'old' is reported multiple times, but not reproducible at QA. Which makes really problematic solving it.

FWIW: Which version of Windows? And and clipboard manager of any kind installed?
