Thank you for reporting the bug.

This sounds somewhat like bug 131468.

In any event, I did experience a performance drop after inserting the emoji using the most recent stable build in Ubuntu.

Using Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS:

Version: 6.4.3.2
Build ID: libreoffice-6.4.3.2-snap1
CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Build ID: 9a7c5d38a7a43c75c0f3d2f0c725196e916d0260

I don't see the slowness. Bug 131468 and bug 145301 were closed, so let's close this one as well.
