Description blank15927 2020-05-27 10:45:08 UTC
Description:
This morning I used LibreOffice 7.0 alpha, did some work (in Writer), and closed it.
A few hours later, I had to open the Task Manager to see something (not related to LibO) and I found out there were still instances (I don't know what it's called) of LibreOffice running.

See screenshot

That's about 1 GB of memory usage despite the fact that LibreOffice is closed.
I'm not an expert in this area but it doesn't seem right.

OS :
  Windows 10 Home 64-bit 1909 (18363.836)
  Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.80GHz
RAM
  8,00 Go Canal-Double DDR3 @ 654 MHz (9-9-9-24)

Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha1 (x86)
Build ID: 6a03b2a54143a9bc0c6d4c7f1...
Threads CPU : 8; OS : Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI Render : Skia/Raster; VCL: win;
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); UI: fr-FR
Calc: threaded

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice (Writer in my case)
2. Do something
3. Close LibreOffice

Look at Task Manager

Actual Results:
LibreOffice still using memory, even if closed

Expected Results:
Free the memory completely

Reproducible: Always

If LO is in the list, it's not closed.
Needed are exact reproducible steps when this happens.
Only of you can provide them, and search shows this is not a duplicate of existing issue, change to Unconfirmed.
Comment 4 blank15927 2020-06-02 16:13:57 UTC
Simple steps :

1. I Open LibreOfficeDev
2. I click New Writer document in left panel
3. Without doing anything, I close immediately LO by clicking on the red cross top right

That's all.

I open the Task Manager.
I see 2 lines "LibreOfficeDev (32 bits)". See screenshot 1.
It happens every time.

And, after a long working session, it can be worse. See screenshot 2.
(I proofread books, and I run a lot of personnal macros)

It happens also on
Version: 7.0.0.0.beta1 (x64)
Build ID: 94f789cbb33335b4a511c319542c7bdc31ff3b3c
Threads CPU : 8; OS : Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI Render : Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); Langue IHM : fr-FR
Calc: threaded

It never happens on my regular version :
Version: 6.3.4.2 (x64)
Build ID: 60da17e045e08f1793c57c00ba83cdfce946d0aa
Threads CPU : 8; OS : Windows 10.0; UI Render : par défaut; VCL: win;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR); Langue IHM : fr-FR
Calc: threaded
