Description Bruce Armstrong 2020-06-01 10:00:46 UTC
Description:
Labels display correctly in Writer, but when exported to the printer, the label sheet is shown as having a Landscape orientation, and that the label text will be shrunk and printed only in the right half of the landscape sheet of labels. And this is how it actually tries to print them.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a label form using File-New-Labels-Format-Avery-L7157-New Document
2.Enter text in several labels
3.Go to Print Preview. -Looks good. Then go to Print and look at the Printer's Preview. -In my case, it is now altered from portrait to landscape, etc. My printer is a HP 1020 laser. - It does not have this issue with labels from other software.

Actual Results:
Rotated and shrunken data that is 'squeezed' into sideways label positions.

Expected Results:
Labels printed properly.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Don't know if this was a problem with earlier versions.

Does this also happen, if you print to the Microsoft PDF printer (or some other PDF printer, if that is not available yet in Win 8.1)?

This is a user error. It seems that I had somehow selected Brochure mode, which has become the standard print mode and caused this behavior.

The selection is at File, Printer Setup, Options, Brochure

It can also be accessed from Tools, Options, LibreofficeWriter, Print, Brochure

I am unclear on how to get back to the non-brochure mode as the default.

Maybe try with Safe mode: Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode. I certainly don't have Brochure in a completely pristine LibreOffice config.

You can reset your profile with the Safe mode dialog later, if you want: https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/01/profile_safe_mode.html
