Demonstration PNG background image

Version: 6.4.4.2 (x64)
Build ID: 3d775be2011f3886db32dfd395a6a6d1ca2630ff
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI-Language: en-GB
Calc: threaded

1. Open the default new writer document (for example)
2. Go to Default page style > Area > Bitmap.
3. Use the dialog to import and apply the attached PNG image as the page background.

Comment: Ignore Bug 134258 for the moment and carry on …

4. Press OK to exit Page style dialog, then save, close and reopen the writer file.
5. Go to Go to Default page style > Area > Bitmap and inspect the Bitmap view panel.

EXPECTED RESULT: The imported Bitmap should be visible, or, if not immediately visible, accessible using the scroll bars.

ACTUAL RESULT: Although the Preview still shows the correct imported page background, it is neither visible nor accessible in the Bitmap view pane. It has disappeared.

this is a duplicate of bug 132966, which is fixed in LO 7.0. So could you please try to reproduce it with master or with 7.0.0.0.beta2?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
