Btw, tested in 7.0 Beta 2
Comment 3 Telesto 2020-06-28 10:26:13 UTC
No issue for me
Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 006c65bbd472cb1d7d44e095714e28190b76be0d
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.3 Build 9600; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (nl_NL); UI: en-US
Calc: CL

Another thing is of course the thumbnail quality. The quality isn't great (when looking at it using the magnifier). But that's more of a nitpick and unrelated to skia

side-by-side of fuzzy thumbnail views with Skia rendering compared to default GDI

Confirmed, on Windows 10 (1909) with Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU
Version: 7.0.0.0.beta2 (x64)
Build ID: 1c213561a365b5666167321de68c9977500c9612
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: default; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Compared to GDI default rendering, with or without Hardware acceleration, but
*only* the MIME icon stamped and the the Thumbnail views themselves are affected--fuzzy with Skia rendering (Vulkan or raster). The module icons of the sidebar are being rendered cleanly.

StartCenter clips attached, fuzzy thumbnail views and MIME icons on left, crisp default GDI rendering on right.

I can confirm that the bug does NOT exist in 7.1.0 Alpha.
But its definitely in 7.0 Beta 2.

Is there a more recent Build of 7.0 series to retest if the bug is already gone there too?

I found an updated 7.0 Beta 2 Build and the blurry Thumbnail is no issue there :)

So:

## Blurry ##
Version: 7.0.0.0.beta2 (x64)
Build ID: 1c213561a365b5666167321de68c9977500c9612
CPU-Threads: 12; BS: Windows 10.0 Build 17763; UI-Render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL:

## No more Blur ##
Version: 7.0.0.0.beta2+ (x64)
Build ID: 9303060ea34bec4a13bfac0562e821b7bd144b65
CPU-Threads: 12; BS: Windows 10.0 Build 17763; UI-Render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL:

I guess this will not be an issue anymore in next Beta or RC build :)

Yes, current master/7.1.0alpah0+ have been corrected. Seems it was BP to 7.0.0beta2+ as well.
