Description Hans-Peter Jansen 2020-06-27 12:58:16 UTC
Description:
When using a label printer (using a Zebra ZTC GK420d here) with 3,50x1,50" labels, the print preview in the printer dialog is confused.

First attempt to print attached document results in screenshot 1. The orientation is wrong, print is fine. Selecting print properties and enabling "Use this paper format only" results in ss 2, print is fine.

Choosing the correct format in the print dialog (89x38mm) results in ss 3, print failed (wrong orientation).

Steps to Reproduce:
Setup Zebra printer with 3,50x1,50" labels.
Print attached label document on label printer.
Notice the print dialog

Actual Results:
The printer dialog initially shows previews with wrong orientation
After setting the correct paper format in the print dialog, the preview is confused (looks, like some default borders are taken into account, not the one's from the document). Now, printing result is broken (wrong orientation and some arbitrary page borders seem to have been taken into account).

Expected Results:
The printer dialog show the preview in the correct orientation (such as after setting the forced paper format in the printer properties).
The printer dialog show the correct paper format and orientation.
The print preview/result isn't broken after setting the correct paper format and orientation.

Reproducible: Always

Hi, Peter, could you try a newer version to see if the bug is still there?...
You could try 7.0.1 or 7.1alpha.

Waiting for info from you.
Comment 6 Hans-Peter Jansen 2020-09-19 11:10:36 UTC
7.0.1.2 shows the exact same behavior.
