Description Yash Arya 2020-06-30 03:38:08 UTC
Description:
Hi,I want to suggest a new feature for snapping like it does in Google Slides and PowerPoint. I refer this link (https://bit.ly/2ZmKrqP) for more info on it. It is actually auto snap feature that shows dotted line when you're at the centre of slide or below any object to place the object aligned relatively to other.

Steps to Reproduce:
It's a feature request

Actual Results:
It should happen as it does in Google Slides or PowerPoint.com

Expected Results:
Same as actual results

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Absolutely yes. And we have some RFE's around this

bug 72118 Let first selected object be the anchor object for alignment of multiple objects
bug 100141 Add alignment and spacing guides
bug 127507 Allow choosing different alignment behavior
bug 112624 Automatically set default snap position to center of slide
bug 112625 Add option to add two snap lines similar to a snap point
...
(would be good to clean up)

Taking the second as reference.
