Description Michael Warner 2020-07-03 00:03:18 UTC
Description:
It would be nice if LibreOffice could be controlled via AppleScript on Macintosh. I expect this would entail creating an AppleScript dictionary and also some kind of bridge that would process AppleEvents and utilize the UNO API.

Steps to Reproduce:
This is a request for enhancement

Actual Results:
This is a request for enhancement

Expected Results:
This is a request for enhancement

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I recognize that this is a broad topic and implementing this could take a lot of work, especially considering what level of detail of AppleScript support was desired. Let me know if there is a more appropriate forum to file this request, thanks.

LibreOffice provides a good number of cross-plattform scripting languages. If this is going to be implemented I'd suggest to add it as kind of external wrapper so AS talks to some common internal scripting.

Anyway, not a UX topic.

No problems with closing this request as wontfix but that is not for me to decide. However until that decision is made it is a valid feature request.
