Description: I seletct a non English named file,the name can not show accurate,if I try to open，the software show "General input/output error.". Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Remote Files; 2.Add a FTP; 3.No options to change charset. Actual Results: If I try to open a non English named file ,like Chinese named file,I will get "General input/output error.". Expected Results: I can change charset to GBk and open a Chinese named file successfully. Please don't set bug status to NEW on your own. It doesn't help anyone and usually reduces the chance that an interested QA/developer will see your bug. 请不要自行将你提交的 bug 设为 NEW 状态。这样反而可能会让相关的质控人员和开发者看不到你的 bug 报告。 Also adding random aliases and keywords is frowned upon. 自主加很多别名和关键词也是不礼貌的行为。
I don not need somebody tell me about which is "frowned upon".I just post a bug about a software.If I don't add random aliases and keywords,maybe this bug will never be noticed.

I don't know how to make a program,but I know FileZilla can change charset,and it is also a open source program.
@Szymon, is it feasible to add 'charset' and possibly a 'locale' selection to the PlaceEditDialog and "File Services" UI? Would guess for WebDav, SSH and FTP as here. Maybe drawing from the textimportoptions we use for parsing CSV for Calc?
FTP support was removed in bug 146386 i find it unlikely that WebDAV would be affected not sure where LO implements SSH, not in any bundled code? perhaps it's using GIO on Linux? not sure if this can be closed like the other FTP bugs, leaving open for now.
