In Excel the default length of the axis title box is a bit shorter than the axis length, but in Calc it’s about the length of the whole chart area, making it look subjectively ugly. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attached file Actual results: Horizontal axis title is spanning the entire chart area. Expected results: Horizontal axis title should be a bit less wide than the axis itself and begin right of the vertical axis.
