Description:
I use:
Version: 5.1.6.2
Build ID: 1:5.1.6~rc2-0ubuntu1~xenial10
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.15; UI Render: default; 
Locale: fr-FR (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group

Since maybe 2 weeks Writer is extremely slow to open document that are less than 1 MB (several minutes)
I have increased the memory to 128 MB and the object memory to 20 MB but it does not help.
Any idea how to make it work ?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open libre office
2.open writer
3.try to open any document ODT or RTF


Actual Results:
Writer status bar below start progressing and never open the document at least after 5 minutes

Expected Results:
It should open the ODT or RTF document


Reproducible: Always


User Profile Reset: Yes


OpenGL enabled: Yes

it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

I have upgraded to the latest version 7.0.4.2 and the issue was solved.
For some reason my Linux OS was not proposing to upgrade I had to remove and re-install Open Office.

Thanks for retesting the issue with the latest version.
Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME since the commit fixing this issue hasn't been
identified.
