Description Carlo 2020-07-20 16:39:52 UTC
Description:
Hello, it's since a couple of updates, I guess since LO 7 that when i try to print writer files, onto which i've pasted calc tabs printer would print the tab, but almost empty
the only wayround so far is to print a pdf or print file from printing dialogue

Steps to Reproduce:
1.copy some cells from calc
2.paste em on writer
3.open the print dialogue

Actual Results:
the file got printed, but the table was almost empty

Expected Results:
till last week it printed tables content perfectly.. now even the print dialogue refuses

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
print writer and calc parts as i see them on the screen

Please create a file with some text in Calc and save it, and atach it to this bug report in order for us to try to copy and paste, in order to see if everything is ok.

I have done this, I create a new Calc file with some numbers, I copy them in Writer, and everything is ok, the table is pasted, without borders, but all the content is here.

How is it possible that you have OpenGL UI rendering on Linux?? Please try turning it off from Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View - Use OpenGL for all rendering

Can you paste here your Help - About contents, when you are in Safe mode? Possibly the GL is gone?

i'm not in safe mode now,
info says:
user interface: standard
but i have the same issue
Comment 17 Buovjaga 2020-12-15 10:40:55 UTC
In the Safe mode dialog, you can select Reset to factory settings - Reset entire user profile. Then "Apply changes and restart". This will delete any extensions you have and any modifications you made to keyboard shortcuts, menus etc. But if that is fine, you can do it and see, if the problem went away for good.

seems like a factory reset did the trick
however i just checked settings: namely graphic acceleration is on, but on info it's not mentioned...

Great. In these cases, we can just close as worksforme.
