Description: when displaying a menu, if it is longer than the distance from manu bar to the bottom edge of the screen (like Writer insert menu), it covers and overlaps the menu bar. tested with same on -MX Linux (debian buster base) LO version 6.1.5 -Manjaro Linux XFCE, LO version 6.3 On Windows, instead, works fine. LO 6.2 Steps to Reproduce: 1.open a LO component, like writer 2. click on insert menu (or any other long enough menu for the screen you're using 3. see how it overlaps the menu bar Actual Results: when the menu unfold it overlaps the menubar Expected Results: The menu should not overlap the menu bar. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: it works the same on various linux os but the problem is not present on windows

To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

Sorry. I don't understand how this site works. I really thought i had ansered before. I don't know what happened. May be a connection failure. I did start in safe mode. with same results: menu overlaps menubar. Also tested Libre Office 7.0 RC I mostly use MX Linux 19.2 XFCE 4.14 as Desktop Environment. I have tested in different devices and with live usb os, so the user profile should not be relevant, in my undertanding. I took a screenshot wiich i attached in a previous post
The screenshot looks like the gtk3 version, in which case it's a duplicate of Bug 113713. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 113713 ***

It's sad to see this can not be solved, it seems. Blame GTK3, but some other apps like GIMP do work well on this, and they also use GTK3.
