Description JohnRick 2020-08-02 21:41:45 UTC
Description:
Version 6.4.2.2 used on several W10 machines. Replicates on all.
Document of 109 pages. Auto-save off. Open GL used. User profile reset. Opening document, scrolling, then just letting it be in background. After appr. 4-5 minutes the "Document Save" function starts, ends, and immediately starts again in a neverending loop, rendering the application useless.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open MS Word document of 100+ pages.
2. Wait.
3. Establish that document enters saving loop, which hangs the application.

Actual Results:
The document hangs after entering perpetual saving mode.

Expected Results:
Stopped saving.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Thanks for reporting and testing. Any change to share a Word document with this behaviour, it's likely related to the content. Also need to know if this is about DOC or DOCX

If the file contains sensitive which can't be shared in public, this might be an option

Alternative: sending the document over mail to a certain QA member; not me, but Xisco; i will give the info required if you want to opt for this.
