On which Linux distrib are you and which version? Is it a new behaviour after some upgrade or anything?
I made a new installation of openSUSE Leap 15.2. I did not made any upgrade or anything. Operating System: openSUSE Leap 15.2 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0 Qt Version: 5.12.7 Kernel Version: 5.3.18-lp152.33-default OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz Memory: 15,5 GiB
Thank you for the quick feedback. Any better if you try this on term/console: export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen;soffice ? (the goal is to know if it's specific to kde rendering or not).
Yes this works - now I see a menu bar
Michael: I gave a try on my machine with export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kf5 but, like gtk3 rendering too, no pb with menu bar. Any idea of root cause?
The problem is KDE related. I removed a global menu mini program from my kde application bar and the menu bar is visible.
Thank you Peter for this new feedback. Let's put this one to WFM since there's no specific patch here to fix the problem.
