Description Aldo Díaz 2020-08-05 19:08:27 UTC
Description:
Impress started taking about minutes (~2') for opening documents.
Some details about my ODP file:
- Uses master slides (4 templates)
- Uses SVG graphics
- Custom color palette (solarized)

Other than this, the configurations are the default ones. But the behaviour was detected to start recently on my system (after 2 days of installation), so it was not the case for a fresh install.

OS: Ubuntu16.04
LibreOffice: 6.4

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Impress on Ubuntu16.04
2.Bang!
3.... two minutes later, it starts! (hopefully)

Actual Results:
Impress eventually starts after a long waiting time under "loading document"

Expected Results:
Open my doc immediately

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Please send me instructions on how to collect logs so I can further document the fault!

You could try a factory reset, and also disable Java and proxy.

1. Factory reset: Go to Help - Restart in Safe Mode - Restart - Factory Settings (check that 2 options from there) - Restart

if this don't help you try this one:

2. Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Advanced - uncheck "Use a Java..."

3. Tools - Options - Internet - Proxy - check to "None"

Wainting for your tests.
