I received an email from bugzilla-daemon today (Aug. 22). It says "QA Administrators changed bug 135543". And in a small table, under the heading Added, it says "QA: needs comment". I do not understand what, if anything, is being asked of me. Is there a question you wish me to answer? Also, I tried to reply to the email, which (as you know) does not work. Please label emails that cannot be replied to as such. Thanks
I received an email from bugzilla-daemon today (Sept. 15). It says "BogdanB changed bug 135543". And in a small table, under the 'Added' column, it says "96000". I do not understand whether you are asking me for more information, reporting new information to me, or both. Also, I tried to reply to the email, which (as you know) does not work. Hi, Gary, please provide an example. For example what language do you use in your document. Give us an example of wrong word. Or attache here a document with some words where you find those problems, and the steps we need to folow in order to see the problem.
From Gary: "Thanks for explaining in plain english what you need. As I explained before, this is an intermittent problem. Auto. spell check works most of the time, but perhaps 10% of the time, it's not working. The first document I opened today to give you an example, and "celiac" was underlined - even though it's not mis-spelled. But I know that the built-in dictionary might be missing this word. Anyway, I added a string of words a few lines below (which I highlighted only to make it easy to find them), and none of them are underlining - even "celiac". So this is a rare case where the underlining happens on some mis-spelled words, and doesn't happen on others. See screenshot below."

Maybe related to bug 135543?
(In reply to Telesto from comment #6) > Maybe related to bug 135543? Typo, should be bug 136294
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #7) Copy/pasted the wrong bugID ;-)
This bug is reproducible but I would like to know if other details like does it correct the tense of a word such there and their or right and write.
There are steps missing 1. open a document 2. start to type some words and misspell some on purposes 3. some words are underlined in red meaning the word is misspelled but some are not and the spell check is notnrecognizing the tense of the words used. I used the write in a sentence when the word should have been right which is the correct tense but the spell sheck did notrecognize this.

Any change to give an extra "phrase" for step 2. With the addition of which would should be recognized as misspelled? [Or is it at random?] Also are talking about English or some different language? Implicitly answered when giving a phrase
A new major release of LibreOffice is available since this bug was reported. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
I opened a document in writer and tried some misspelled words and sentences when Automatic Spell checking was ON. It showed those red underlines every time I tried some misspelled words. I tested in the latest LO 7.4.1.2 (x64) version with build :3c58a8f3a960df8bc8fd77b461821e42c061c5f0

I suspect this is the same issue. When a fresh instance of LO is run, the spell checking works as expected in Writer. If the document is left open and unattended for some time, the spell check underline stops working reliably. Right clicking a misspelled word still gives the spell check options so the spell check is functioning, just not highlighting. As mentioned by the original reporter, this is intermittent and hard to reproduce. I am currently using version 7.3.6.2 in Linux (Pop!_OS 22.04)
