Description: Section created, has 4 columns; table placed inside, one of several. Table's options set for no cells breaking across columns and no breaking table across columns. Column displays with 1 or more cells breaking across columns, ignoring that (1) there is room to display the full cell without forcing the section to cross a page boundary, and (2) it's been told not to break across columns. Steps to Reproduce: 1. create section with 3+ columns 2. Create table with significant text per cell 3. Set table for no breaking cells across columns 4. set table for not allowing breaking table across columns. Actual Results: table still breaks across table Expected Results: Table should remain in column, or move entirely to next column. Created attachment 165433 [details] test table breaks
The option to prevent a table from splitting across columns works for me. If i have misunderstood the problem, please more specifically describe which options you have selected. Steps to Test: 1) Open attached test_sections.odt. 2) UNCHECK Table Properties>Text Flow>Allow pages to split across pages and columns 3) Click anywhere in the blue text. 4) Table>Split Table>No Heading As expected, result is that the new table is placed entirely in column 2. 5) Ctrl+Z 6) CHECK Table Properties>Text Flow>Allow pages to split across pages and columns 7) Click anywhere in the blue text. 8) Table>Split Table>No Heading As expected, result is that the new table is split across column 1 and column 2.
