Description Lyndon Brown 2020-08-17 01:45:20 UTC
Description:
i tried removing the sheet name from source and destination references of a pivot table to see if relative referencing was supported, and thus creating new sheets by copying existing ones could be done without then having to edit the pivot tables.

unlike with editing chart cell references, no red warning icon was displayed, suggesting that relative references are supported. (bug?).

when i did this with a pivot table in the first sheet of the document: on closing the dialog (with 'okay') and reopening it, the 'destination' reference had been automatically modified to re-introduce the sheet name. the same had also been done for 'source', except incorrectly referring to the second sheet rather than the first (the sheet containing it) for some reason.

when i try the same with a pivot table on other sheets, upon clicking 'okay' in the dialog, the pivot table gets moved to the first sheet, with 'destination' always obviously changed to refer to the first sheet, and 'source' always changed to refer to the second sheet.

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
either a red warning icon should be displayed with use of references lacking a sheet name being blocked, or alternatively, it should be putting the sheet name of the current sheet (containing the pivot table).
