Description Erick M 2020-08-20 19:32:52 UTC
Description:
Hello friends. I would like to report an error when using LibreOffice Calc: I always mark my spreadsheets with the wrap text automatically function. I save my file and then close it. Upon reopening, the wrap text function is gone. When I am going to reschedule the function, it is checked there. So I have to deselect, mark again and then it works. But every time I close my spreadsheet, when I reopen I have to do everything again. Hope this helps. Thank you!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mark "wrap text automatically";
2. Close LibreOffice Calc;
3. Upon reopening, the wrap text function is gone.

Actual Results:
My spreadsheets are extensive, so I have a lot of work to mark "wrap text automatically".

Expected Results:
I hope that this problem in GNU/Linux will be solved and we will all be happy forever! ;-)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
I used GNU/Linux Debian and Tails.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I don't reproduce this.

Does it happen with a brand new file or just a specific file?
Also 6.1 branch is EOL, like 6.2 and soon 6.3
Could you give a try to last stable LO version 6.4.6?

BTW what file type do you use to save? The wrap modification it's on the cells, on one specific style, or in default style?

I can't reproduce with ods, xlsx, xls.

Spreadsheet with error!

BTW? Sorry, I do not understand.

The files are saved by default in * .ods. On the cells, by default style.

I upgraded to the new version but the problem remains. Can I send you the spreadsheet? Thank you!

Could you indicate an example of cell where the "Wrap automatically" isn't present?
I mean C14 has this option enabled.

Error C-14

See how cell C14 appears to me!

It's just a problem of row height.
For the test, disable the "Wrap automatically" option on cell C14 and look at the difference.
Wrap automatically just indicates it breaks the line, it doesn't indicate it adjusts the height of the cell.

Thanks for your help, dear Julian Nabet. I resolved it as follows:

. I select the cell that did not break the line;
. I click on "Row Height";
. In the "Height" field, I delete the measurements and enter them again.

Okay, now my line is properly organized, as if it were in the option "Wrap automatically". Thank you all! ;-)

Great! :-)
Let's put this one to WFM then.
