Description: The Title is pretty self-explanatory; also, see screenshot. Actual Results: Expected Results: Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I can't think of many cases where this would be a problem, i just wanted to mention it as it probably IS a bug. I've set it to "Minor Bug" though.

Would you mind to attach the sample file.. I don't reproduce this (don't know what the used drop cap settings are)
I confirm it with Version: 7.0.0.3 (x64) Build ID: 8061b3e9204bef6b321a21033174034a5e2ea88e CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded But I agree, that in real life the combination of drop caps and superscript character will hardly be used.
(In reply to Telesto from comment #2) > Would you mind to attach the sample file.. I don't reproduce this (don't > know what the used drop cap settings are) Can you reproduce it using these steps? 0. Open new document, default everything. 1. Activate Drop Caps for one paragraph and leave everything on default except for the Drop caps using the character style 'Drop Caps'. 2. Edit the character style to make it sub-/superscript.
Dear Clarc, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
Still present in Version: 7.4.0.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: f85e47c08ddd19c015c0114a68350214f7066f5a CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL Additional infotmation: Same result, if you just select drop cap and change position to superscript
I also can confirm it's still present. Three additional things that might be helpful to know: 1. This is what I meant by setting the text to subscript: https://help.libreoffice.org/6.2/en-US/text/swriter/guide/subscript.html 2. This bug only happens when setting ALL characters in the gray Drop Caps area to subscript. If the Drop Caps length is 3 characters, all 3 characters need to be set to Superscript/Subscript. 3. However, even if only single characters are set to Super-/Subscript, the display still is weird. For example, superscript makes characters shrink, but it also centers them in the gray area instead of placing it noticeably higher than normal superscript.
