Created attachment 164959 [details] 100 percent cpu.odt After opening the file attached, LibreOffice is stuck at 100% CPU. It is possible to edit and save the document, but not to export as PDF or save as docx. LibreOffice 6.3 to 7.0 have this problem, whereas LibreOffice 6.2 to 5.3 don't.
I can't reproduce it in Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 6f1e02c96b887750f974c187a82ecd6236e6a435 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.7; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

I suuceded to export to docx in Version: 7.0.1.2 (x64) Build ID: 7cbcfc562f6eb6708b5ff7d7397325de9e764452 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO); UI: en-US Calc: threaded 10-15 seconds
The same export to PDF worked well in Version: 7.0.1.2 (x64) Build ID: 7cbcfc562f6eb6708b5ff7d7397325de9e764452 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO); UI: en-US Calc: threaded 15-20 seconds. Indeed a mesage appear in the title of the program (Program not responding), but disapear in just some seconds.
Ok I can also export to PDF, and CPU go down after the export. But if you open the document and do nothing, the CPU is stuck at 100%.
Created attachment 165648 [details] not 100% I can't confirm 100% CPU See the graph. Just opening the file. 80% is a maximum for some seconds.
You have 4 cores, so it is 100/4 = 25% on your computer. 25% on 4 cores is 100% on 1 core, so you also have the issue.

This is not showing the CPU use for LibreOffice. For me, it goes down to 0% after a quite short spike. Côme: can you please re-test with the latest version? Also, please copy and paste here the contents of your Help - About. This allows us to know more about your system. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away. Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 0afa7e64d547a8f2a48402660acf5c95a468a0ab CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Jumbo
It takes 20 seconds to scroll at the end of the document, but after that everything is OK. Export to PDF and docx works. So the bug seems to be fixed in LibreOffice 7.1. Version: 7.1.4.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: a529a4fab45b75fefc5b6226684193eb000654f6 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); UI: fr-FR Calc: CL
Great, thanks for re-testing at such a short notice! Let's close as wfm.
