I confirmed the behaviour, and I agree IF it is true that in Word the first word formatting is preserved. Isn't this the same as in many older bugs with DF/SF and cut/paste operation? I tend to close this of dupe of dupe of dupe of another bug. But it's to the bug reporter to search for dupes.
