Description Nicolas Christener 2020-09-04 07:24:05 UTC
Description:
In the iOS app version 4.2.8 (62) the input bar is missing when opening a spreadsheet. The input bar can be made present through opening the sidebar.

The input bar should be visible regardless if the sidebar was opened or not.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a spreadsheet using the iOS app
2. Try to input something in the input bar below the menu bar

Actual Results:
It's not possible to enter something into the input bar as it's simply not there.

Expected Results:
The input bar should always be available.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It seems, that opening the sidebar also makes the input bar available. Maybe there are other workarounds, but this one seems to work reliable.

I'll attach a video.

Can reproduce.

(And specifically, can reproduce with an Apple hardware keyboard attached with the "Smart Connector", i.e. not Bluetooth. Did not try with a Bluetooth keyboard.)

tdf#136459: Show the spreadsheet formula input bar when switching to edit mode
Comment 8 Nicolas Christener 2020-10-23 07:15:16 UTC
The input bar is now displayed, tested with 6.4.0 (5).

However it's more or less impossible to enter the input bar to edit it's content. I'll create a new issue for that.

I believe, this issue can be closed.

Thanks a lot to the Collabor team and especiall Tor for taking care of this.
