1. Open a dialog with Area tab, for example Writer - Format - Paragraph
2. Change the colour palette in the Area tab - you might have to change it as many as three times

The width of the palettes area and the dropdown grow wildly. This is NOT seen with gtk3.

Going from custom, html to tonal triggers it. Seems to be the same problem as bug 136737
