@Justin Any interest in the Table in footnotes topic? Don't think so, but can always ask ;-). LibreOffice does read those from DOCX (not to nice in rendering but working; I'm seeing it as a proof of concept). DOC has not support (table gone; content present). LibreOffice itself can't insert Table into footnote, probably because it never got implemented/ of finished. Saving a DOC/X RTF with table in footnote to ODT simply trashes the whole content :-). Or doesn't ODT not support table in footnote? And fiddling around with table in footnote is of course crashing (bug 136778).
In DOCX bug 132611 I noted that the layout code sw flowfrm.cxx contains the comment SAL_WARN("sw.core", "Tables in footnotes are not truly supported"); Until LO properly handles laying out tables and such here, there is no point in doing anything about importing or exporting them.
