The search field is a combobox that remembers previous searches. It's a feature.

The combobox control fills it's list up to 10(?) items and works then like any other dropdown: it lists the items that match the input.

I do get the idea of being a feature. Not generally against autosuggestion list (which matches the input).

The case, I typed similar search, but not the same.. Pressed enter and result was search for the autocomplete text.. I searched by incident for VestibulumVestibulum (or something different). As I type Vestib it starts with the autosuggetion.

The user case. Press CTRL+F type blindly search term and press Enter.. And search for the wrong keyword..

Press ESC isn't effective -> Closes toolbar.

You need to press backspace & or delete to remove the 'addition'

Ideally I would prefer a system as used in 'address bar of the browser) or something in that direction

Would be the same there.
