Should expanded headings in Headings content navigation view and all content navigation view be made to show as the same? To repro open a document with an outline structure and expand some headings in Navigator. Use the Content Navigation View button in the Navigator toolbox to toggle to Headings content navigation view and back. Another difference between these views is how outline tracking behaves. In Headings content navigation view, outline tracking default mode does not always leave expanded outlines expanded when tracking.
Not easy to follow. Please put a single screenshot with all marked details.
Note: Jim, I see you have a lot of reports, mostly you fix it yourself. I'm in QA dealing with 2.000+ bugs but this is not lazy man question, I just don't understand this immediately. If you see some of my screenshots, you'll see why I ask for a single marked one. This is UX issue, but I don't want to mark before it's easy to spot. Thanks.
Created attachment 165956 [details] expanded headings in content navigation view difference @Timur, I've attached a short video demo in hope that it will be easier to understand the issue.
Sorry, I don't understand. I don't see a problem with toggling, seems it expands and shrinks all, but if we manually change that, it remembers it. Maybe someone else will. Let me add UX.
Content navigation view is just a filter for the Navigator. And I don't see why this should behave like a different view. So keeping the expanded state of nodes make sense.
