Description:
From time to time, saving a file results in a ‘General error’, sometimes after the document is marked as unchanged, ie, the saving operation apparently succeeded —GenError.png.
Unfortunately, that's unpredictable…


Steps to Reproduce:
1.save a file
2.
3.

Actual Results:
General error, even when the operation apparently succeeded.

Expected Results:
save


Reproducible: Always


User Profile Reset: No

It happens ‘at random’

Why are you reporting something that's totally not reproducible.

You have a number of reports, but also duplicates, indicating you should search more.

Because someone in-the-know might look where, in the code, this error message is triggered…
Also because ‘General error’ is too vague and does not help
** the user to correct his/her error, if any;
** LO programmers to locate and fix the bug, if that's the problem.
Similarly, a crash is not reproducible, but LO programmers investigate it.

This bug has no purpose to be open.
