Description: When opening any PDF file a blank document displays and on top of it a text box with the message: "This PDF file is encrypted and can't be opened. " shows. This started in previous versión of LO 6.4 or so, back then I could only open 1 page PDF files, nothing longer. I restarted safe mode, still the same, I umistalled and installed 7.0.1 for worse; now it happens with any PDF file. However this behaviour is restricted to a single Windows Session. I can open same pdfs from other User sessions. Is there a way to clear everything in the affected sesión related to the fault? Or can I copy the "healthy" part from other sessions to the affected sesión? Regards Steps to Reproduce: 1. Either right click on a pdf file, choose "Open with", navigate to LO Draw or first open LO Draw, click "Open" and navigate to a pdf file. 2. 3. Actual Results: A blank document appears and on top of it there is a text box with the message: "This PDF file is encrypted and can't be opened. " Expected Results: The pdf file should have opened in editable mode. I found an old report, bug 70705, about a similar thing, although it was completely broken unlike in your case. So you mean that for a particular user on your system, the problem always appears? Does this still happen with 7.1.5 or newer?
Dear Buovjaga: Thank you for your follow up. No one else showed interest in the issue since I posted it some 9 months ago. Thats right, it only happened with one user. So I created a new Windows session for the user, transferred his info deleted the old session and that was the end of it. With Regards Roberto S.
Bob, do you remember by any chance if the user account had special characters (like accents) in their user name? See bug 160260.
Dear Stéphane: Thank you for the follow up. This is an old one! The original account no longer exists, so I cannot retry the issue. However it is possible, that yes the account name had a special character. An accent on letter "o" (ó). Kind Regards Roberto S.
Thank you. The fact that you said "this behaviour is restricted to a single Windows Session" makes it seem like the same issue as bug 160260, which is now resolved. Let's mark as duplicate. Cheers! :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 160260 ***
