Description Alf127 2020-10-08 03:33:41 UTC
Possible regression similar to bug ID 92263, 94209, 119770, 122973 (hence the title similar to 119770).
Basically:
- Start Libreoffice 6.4.6.2
- create a spreadsheet
- insert chart (through insert/chart or with icon)
=> it crash
I get a blablabla suggesting to send report and then another blablabla to recover the spreadsheet.

It only happens with spreadsheet (I tried Writer, Impress, etc.: no problem, I can insert a chart). (Funny stuff: when I tried to create a database crash instantly: Libreoffice Base doesn't work - donno if I should fill a bug report for that).

I tried to clean profil (by removing the profile file folder
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile/en
still crash.
I tried to start in "fail-safe" mode : still crash.

Since I had some free time I tried to re-install Libreoffice 6.4.4.2 and check. Same exact trouble... Same trouble with Libreoffice Base too (it crash at start).
I hadn't used spreadsheet since a long time so it may explain why I had not noticed.

I installed Libreoffice 6.4.7.1 and the bug doesn't happens. Libreoffice Base works well too.

My OS: Linux Mint 18.3 (Sylvia) (based on Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerus))
Sorry for language mistakes: me not English speaker.

Not clear why you report when it works now.
Next time ypu may test other versions with 1-file LO https://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/.

Hello Timur,
Because the 6.4.6.2 version is the "stable" (lts?) version you get there:
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/
(checked on 2020/10/13)
Therefore any end-user (my dad as an example...) will get this (bugged?) version.

I found the 6.4.7.1 version while searching for older version there:
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/
and I guess standard end-users are not suppose to reach this. ;-) (Well, if dad would, he would not be able to know what to do with it... :D ).

Do not change status, if you don't know what is means
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#bug_status

Only set Unconfirmed if you reproduce with daily master from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html, or as I pointed 1-file from https://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/daily-version/

You should have looked around and you would see basics with LO:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan

Still 6.4.7 is about to be released, "old" holds all.
