Description Solway 2020-10-21 09:48:07 UTC
Description:
Trying to switch my entire office away from microsoft. Been testing libreoffice

Wanted to have a dark theme to help on the eyes, and try to setup a good way of deploying this on the network.

Found a bug between setting a theme and icon/fonts. It appears when libreoffice is restarted.
Also dark theme isnt applied to the tabbed toolbar! WHY!

Steps to Reproduce:
Tested in calc
Default install of 64bit 7.0.2.2.
1. User interface> set to tabbed
2. Options > Libreoffice > Personalisation > set to dark theme
3. Options > Libreoffice > view > set to breeze

This will have a light tabbed toolbar, with black icons/text. but looks ok. icons/text is readable

Actual Results:
Issue 1. Tabbed toolbar does not get the dark theme (stays light)

Issue 2. On a restart of the calc, all the icon/text colours etc on the tabbed toolbar go strange (icons turn white, text is removed)

Expected Results:
issue 1: tabbed toolbar should change colour to selected theme. Also the rest of the programe, like row/column headers, scrollbar, bottom status bar etc.

issue 2: icon/fonts should not change colour when its restarted.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
This seem to be a issue with the theme change. it happens on all fonts/icons styles.

For OP please retest with current LO 7.2.0 rc or nightly dev trunk against 7.3.0 where for bug 141986 LO now provides an application color dark mode, about 80% of the UI--unfortunately the composition of the notebook bar widgets are not adjusted, just one of the issues with the NB framework (bug 107237).

And, nothing has been done yet for bug 118320 to actually support Windows UWP color themeing--so static UI.xcu theme for dark mode needs further refinement.

Work a bit with the new 'LibreOffice Dark' application color theme.

Tools -> Options -> Application Colors -> Color Scheme

and some mix of Icon theme selection, and then possibly with a Personalization theme (though those are being reworked, bug 125823).

pretty clearly a dupe of bug 121877 (or more bug 124217), but still should check out the 'LibreOffice Dark' color theme available at 7.2.0
