Description Dan Dascalescu 2020-10-25 04:25:30 UTC
1. Google "libre calc python define function search"
2. Click on the first result, https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/ug/text/scalc/guide/userdefined_function.html
3. Try to follow "Choose Tools - Options - LibreOffice Basic."

It's unclear what program that refers to. I assume Calc. There's no "LibreOffice Basic" menu under Tools -> Options.

Google crawls Help pages at its own will. There is little we can do to make Google index the pages you want, but we are open to be assisted to improve indexing if you master SEO techniques and want to help us.

As said in bug#137725, the Uyghur translation is incomplete and has English string to fill the gaps. Use the /en-US/ stub in you LO Help URLs, or search directly in the internal search engine we implemented, once in the Help site.

But the corresponding English help page [1] also mentions "Tools - Options - LibreOffice Basic", which I can't find in version 6.4.7.

But I'm unfamiliar with the Basic Macro features and maybe I didn't install the needed components or missed something obvious. Nevertheless this report looks valid, and I'm setting its status back to UNCONFIRMED.

Just in case you have not already solved the problem:
Try: Tools > Macros > Edit Macros.

Seth Chaiklin committed a patch related to this issue.
It has been pushed to "master":

tdf#137724 repair access command to Basic Macro editing in Calc

@Dan, thanks for the report. I think there was a problem in the page that you found. It takes a few days for the online help to be updated from the "master", but then you can see it at:

https://help.libreoffice.org/7.1/en-US/text/scalc/guide/userdefined_function.html

Also, given your google search words, I wonder if you found:

https://help.libreoffice.org/7.1/en-US/text/sbasic/guide/basic_2_python.html

which would also be relevant.

Closing this as FIXED - but if there are other problems on
https://help.libreoffice.org/7.1/en-US/text/scalc/guide/userdefined_function.html
then you are welcome to report them here.
