No repro for me with:

Version: 7.0.3.1
Build ID: d7547858d014d4cf69878db179d326fc3483e082
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.7; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

using Karasa Jaga icon theme and default Clear (Light?) system desktop setting theme.
Comment 3 steve 2020-10-29 17:58:29 UTC
Additional findings: what happened is: the color that is used in the start center is the color that can be set in LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Application Colors > Application background.

This behavior would still be unexpected as Application color should not alter Start Center elements as the danger exists, users end up with unreadable start center elements.

Long term solution: proper support for dark / light theme.

Short term solution: make Start Center, left column not apply Application background color.

Start center left column is light and no longer using application background color. Thanks so much.
