Description Michel 2020-11-06 09:51:15 UTC
Description:
I go into the Macro Management dialog box
I select Basic
I select the New button (Nouveau button as it is French version)
The program add Sub Macro1 ... End Sub into an existing macro, it no longer creates a new module with Sub Main ... End Sub.rename ref
I try Safe Mode: sometimes I don't see the problem, sometimes it is still there.

Actual Results:
Instead of creating a new module with
Sub Main
End Sub

it modifies an existing one with
Sub Macro1
En Sub

Expected Results:
It should have created a new module with
Sub Main
End Sub

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

I have set this one to BASIC, not BASE (database module).

I have tested it with older versions like LO 6.1.5.2. The behavior is the same: There will be created a new macro in Module1.

If you want to create a new module do this the same way, as it could be done in Calc: Click with right mouse button on "Module1" at the bottom of the window. There you could create a new BASIC-Modul and a new BASIC-Dialog.

You could also go to Tools in the macro editor and press "Choose Module" (or something else - haven't switched LO to English). There could be added a module also.

Hello Michel,

Thank you for reporting the bug.
Are you are trying to add new module in your existing Library?

If yes please follow these steps, is adds new module with Sub Main and End Sub.

Creating a New Module or Dialog
Choose Tools - Macros - Organize Macros - LibreOffice Basic and click Organizer or click the Select Module icon in the Basic IDE to open the Macro Organizer dialog.
Click the Modules tab or the Dialogs tab.
Select the library where the module will be inserted and click New.
Enter a name for the module or the dialog and click OK.
