Created attachment 167421 [details] Showing saveas dialog with unobeyed path (current head 0c016af83ba42c3b368f7ffb7c58add19b6ec713 on Fedora 33, xfce) If I go to File->saveas and edit the directory path at the top of the dialog to /tmp it still saves the file in the original directory. a) File->Save as b) Click in the path entry at the top c) Select content d) Delete it e) Type /tmp f) Click Save Expecting it to save it in /tmp
Thanks for reporting. I can repro it in Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: ecb916667b633f8647790e040226b093760e6cfe CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL but not sure is it really a bug. Entering a full path it's possible to save the file in Temp folder
Thanks for checking; my feeling is it's still a bug, it wasn't obvious why my files weren't going into /tmp when I'd asked them to, and a UI shoudln't be that subtle!
Can't reproduce. When you click Save, when happens is that the directory changes to /tmp and nothing is saved. Tried this with: Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 516f800f84b533db0082b1f39c19d1af40ab29c8 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: he-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US and: Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US (In reply to pavlog from comment #1) > Thanks for reporting. I can repro it I somewhat doubt that you did :-( It's a bug report about the file save dialog, really, not LO - and I've never seen a file save dialog do something like this.
Marking is INVALID, as actually it _shouldn't_ save with your reproduction instructions, anywhere. OP, if you feel I've misunderstood your expectation - please reopen and explain.
