Description Lionel Elie Mamane 2020-11-25 13:25:27 UTC
Description:
The documentation says:

  Whole sheet export

  Export one sheet per page.

Hu? I don't understand what that option does. Sheets are always on different pages in a print, and in a PDF.

How about this text:

Ignore each sheet's paper size, print ranges and hidden nature and put every sheet (even hidden sheets) on exactly one page, which is exactly as small or large as needed to fit the whole contents of the sheet (not only its print ranges).

Steps to Reproduce:
Read the documentation for Calc's "PDF Export General", section "Whole sheet export"

Actual Results:
Be utterly confused by the terse sentence that doesn't actually explain what the **** this option does in a way that is understandable to a user that doesn't know about this feature (which is usually why people go read the documentation).

Expected Results:
Understand what this option is about.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I refer to the online help, UNIX variant for version 7.0 at https://help.libreoffice.org/7.0/en-GB/text/shared/01/ref_pdf_export_general.html?&DbPAR=CALC&System=UNIX

I don't think this option puts all sheets onto one print page.

More information about this feature can be found at:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/6.4#Whole_sheet_export

It's also a good idea to check the lastet version (7.1 right now) of online help when reporting bugs againt it. In this case 7.1 version [1] still lacks information for this, so not a big deal.

Indeed, it doesn't. It puts every sheet on one page.
