Description akazu 2020-12-08 06:02:14 UTC
First of all I would like to thank you all who creates Libre Office package, through some bugs it is great and valuable project.

When I've tried to create equations, I've found that there would be fine to have them coloured in different formats to highlight some relations between schematics and other objects in a document. Also there would be fine to add some spaces and editable tab to get more overviewed formating for the equations so all would be readable better way.

So I've tried to find some text formating or tab adding for the equations formulas and I've found none.

If I am correct, could you please consider to add for equations similar formating as is added for standard text and paragraphs? I believe that it could be very helpful to have the equations in better shape and there should be also possible to create eg. better education materials by the suite.

Thanks for your consideration!

Note:

Although I am not too familiar with Libre Office coding, I think that the implemenation could be quite easy with relative low amount of work. All functionalities are already programmed in Writer, maybe there would be enough to redefine what is line, what is character, what is paragraph and use whole old code to do the absolute same work as it already does.

Formatting for the OLE sm objects is available both during formula entry with 'Size' and 'Font' keyword, but also from the Math module's Format menu and the elements pane 'Attributes' panel.

Please spend some time with the user guides and help.

Hello Stuart,

Great thanks for the reply. I didn't knew about the extended formating styles that can be used for equations and I thought that all what I have is shown in the menus. I am sorry for misleading bug and thank you for the information about extended formating that I couldn't find via Duckduckgo search engine. Will try to be more careful with a docummentation for the next time. Thanks for the link!
