Description: I can drag and drop slides and reorder them in the slide view on the left. After a few minutes of using impress, I can't reorder anything, and even moving objects around is buggy. That's an issue I've had for years occasionally and usually restart impress to make it work again. But with bigger documents it starts to be painful to do that all the time. It happens on several machines. WM: Gnome Wayland 3.38.2 Distribution: Archlinux (up to date this week) LibreOffice version: 7.0.3.1 I've seen it on Fedora on a laptop as well (same thing, using Gnome wayland). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Drag and drop slides on the view on the left 2. Use impress for some time 3. Try to drag and drop slides again. Actual Results: Can't drag and drop anymore. The icon that appears when drag and dropping usually doesn't appear either. I've noticed that when the bug starts showing up, I have issues moving objects as well, for example sliding text blocks. Expected Results: Impress should behave exactly like when it is freshly started (drag and drop working) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en (tried with fr as well) Module: PresentationDocument OS: Linux (All) OS is 64bit: yes
Thank you for reporting the bug. I can not reproduce the bug in, Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 761a672d62df1891b9f4f367a499b220ab2b33fa CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.3 Build 9600; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL Version: 7.0.3.1 (x64) Build ID: d7547858d014d4cf69878db179d326fc3483e082 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.3 Build 9600; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL
So can you reproduce this in an X11 session or only in Wayland? We could set an appropriate meta bug, if Wayland-only.
bjo, are you still able to reproduce the issue with a recent version of LibreOffice? Are are you able to see the same issue with X11 instead of Wayland? Thank you!
