Description: When I want to print two pages on one sheet, the preview in the print dialogue (and the resulting print) looks as shown in the attachment. As soon as I change one of the other option, the pages snap in. So if I select and then unselect "dras a frame", preview and print are fine; same if I unselect "preview" Steps to Reproduce: 1.open a multipage document 2.print, select layout options > more, set to 2 3.to obtain correct print, do as described above Actual Results: after step 2, truncated page shown and printed after step 3, correct double page shown and printed Expected Results: correct preview and print right away, i.e. after step 2 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.4.7.2 (x64) Build-ID: 639b8ac485750d5696d7590a72ef1b496725cfb5 CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: win; Gebietsschema: de-CH (de_CH); UI-Sprache: de-DE Calc: CL The bug has been there for as long as I can remember; I always hoped for the next release but didn't act because the workaround is so simple once you find it. I'll file a supplement if Open GL and/or profile resetting change anything. Below, I read "Please use the "Add an Attachment" link once the bug is filled." You surely mean "filed".
Created attachment 168165 [details] print dialogue with visible bug
Neither activating Open GL nor starting in safe mode made the problem go away.
Comment on attachment 168165 [details] print dialogue with visible bug note: the format of the document pages is A5 - so 2 of them do fit in the print page format (unless, as in the preview, the print format reduces itself to A5)
I confirm it with Version: 7.0.4.2 (x64) Build ID: dcf040e67528d9187c66b2379df5ea4407429775 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded and with Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 315c7570c4a72f4c834086082825533b1e50d1bf CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded Steps to reproduce 1. Open a multipage document with at least 3 pages (page size A5) 2. File => Print 3. Settings in Page Layout: Paper Size A4 | More => Pages per sheet: 2 Actual result: Wrong preview 4. In preview click "Next page" arrow (Preview looks O.K.) 5. In preview click "Previous page" arrow (Preview looks O.K.)
Dear Daniel Goldstein, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
