Description: Apple's Pages has been more than a little ignored for some years and is missing key functionality which means, at least for me, I have to find an alternative. Libre Office includes a critical function that Pages does not: Setting an individual page to Landscape in a portrait document. But I want to import my existing 300 page Pages document without going through a conversion to PDF or MS Word. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try to import a Pages document 2. 3. Actual Results: Its not possible Expected Results: Its not possible Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Given the user an option to import a Pages document
Please provide a document showing that importing/opening an Apple pages document does not work. Since there is an input filter "Apple Pages (*.pages)", it is intended functionality (May be you could test by explicitly selecting the input filter "Apple Pages (*.pages)" when trying to open an Apple pages file).

@Stephen : please also provide the version of Pages with which the document was last saved, as this can have a bearing on the ability of the import filter to process the file.
Created attachment 168474 [details] imported Pages document is blank When I saved the document it replaced .pages with .odt The imported document is empty.

I have Pages version 8.1 (6369) here
It seems that this problem is related to an old version of a package called 'libetonyek'. See bug 123571. Therefore, I re-open this as this issue obviously hasn't been fixed. Correct me if I've done it wrong, as I'm not very familiar with bug reports.
(In reply to linus.sturm.github from comment #9) > Therefore, I re-open this as this issue obviously hasn't been fixed. I opened attachment 168504 [details] in recent LibreOffice, and it showed the content, so this seems fixed, and a duplicate of bug 123571. If you can reproduce a similar issue, please open a new bug report. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 123571 ***
