Description amadorgilman 2020-12-23 19:46:15 UTC
Description:
Since i upgared from version 7.0.1.2, I have found that I am not able to make changes to fonts or paragraphs for the entire table. Normally I would select the rows or columns I need to change, make the change and no problem. After upgrading however, only the cell where the cursor originally was located gets changed. This problem is also in Beta 7.1.0
Not sure if is in 7.0.2, as I did not check

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create table and populate with information
2. Select all rows and/or columns
3. Try to format paragraphs and/or change font

Actual Results:
Only one cell is changed, and that cell is the one where the cursor was originally

Expected Results:
Chenges should have been made in all the cells

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Thanks for the response.

Just tried it with version 7.1.0.1 (x64) and need to make a small update.  Fonts work without a problem.  Just not able to format paragraphs.  After selecting all rows or columns, only the cell with the cursor changes.  the others do not change.

I never tried 7.0.3.1 (x64), but the bug is definitely in 7.0.4 and 7.1.0.1

I can confirm the buggy behaviour for pragraph formatting. I already encounter it in 6.4.7.2, but not yet in 6.4.2.2.
Comment 4 Gerhard Weydt 2021-01-09 19:14:02 UTC
forgot to mention: I also see it in 7.0.3.1

Screenshot describing the buggy behavior about paragraph formatting on selected table cells.

I can also confirm that the buggy behavior about paragraph formatting on selected table cells is present in version 6.4.7.2 (Windows x64). See attached screenshot that clearly describes the behavior.

I confirm this bug (Gentoo x64) with LO 6.4.7.2 (including bin version) and 7.0.4.2 version. Also in Ubuntu 18.04 with LO 7.0.4.2. This is very annoying.
Comment 8 amadorgilman 2021-02-11 14:16:26 UTC
Just checked 7.1.0.3 which appears to be the latest update, and guess what, thus bug is still there.
Are the developers even checking these bug posts?
Please correct this bug, as it has stopped me from upgrading libreoffice on my main computer. I continue to use 7.0.1.2 which does not have this bug
Comment 9 Rafael Lima 2022-10-17 22:42:56 UTC
This issue is not present in LO 7.3. Can you check again with the latest version of LibreOffice.

I tested with

Version: 7.3.6.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 30(Build:2)
CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb)
Locale: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Ubuntu package version: 1:7.3.6-0ubuntu0.22.04.1
Calc: threaded
Comment 10 Gerhard Weydt 2022-10-25 21:04:06 UTC
I tested with version 7.3.3.2 and ca confirm that the bug is no longer there.
As the creator of the bug report didn't get active, I set the status to fixed.
