Impress crash video
Comment 1 Petr Valach 2020-12-25 19:17:54 UTC
Step for reproduce:
1. Delete your user profile.
2. Open LibreOffice Impress.
3. In new document, try insert video into slide (as a link).

Impress crashes without inserting video.

Affected versions: I tried LibreOffice 6.4.7, LibreOffice 7.2.0.0 -> same behavior.

On 6.0.0.3 Impress freezes, doesn't crash, you must kill it.

Video was made by using 6.4.7 version. Crashreport here:

I see comments here and I am pretty embarrassed. I use latest Linux Mint on 2 PC (desktop and notebook) and same behavior on both of them. With any version of LibreOffice. By the way, I tried that on live configuration (so really clear Linux Mint) and same result. Is it hardware problem?

I guess it might be a hardware driver problem. Is your graphics Intel, AMD or Nvidia in the computers?
Comment 9 Petr Valach 2021-01-26 12:55:53 UTC
Use Intel on both. Now I checked LO 7.0 on NTB (not in video added here) and it seems OK (there is some problems with any kind of videos, but generally it's ok). So there is problem only with desktop.
