Description: LO 7.1RC1 write crashes when trying to access the search fields Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a writer document of your choice 2. press CTRL+F to show the search field 3. right-click into the search field (Alternatively try to paste something into it) result: immediate crash Actual Results: crash Expected Results: no crash Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: The bug submission form asks me for OpenGL but there is no longer such an option in Tools ▸ Options ▸ LibreOffice ▸ View
Do you reproduce this in a brand new file? Also, could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?
> Do you reproduce this in a brand new file? Yes. Can't you reproduce this? > Also, could you give a try at > https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ? Only if you cannot reproduce. I also wrote in my bug report, that I can no longer find OpenGL settings in Tools ▸ Options... ▸ LibreOffice ▸ View ▸ Use OpenGL for all rendering as desccribed in the bug submission guidelines. But why should have OpenGL of my user profile have an effect in the search field?
I turned off Skia and hardware acceleration but the crash persists.
Thank you for your quick feedback. On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today (corresponding to future 7.2.0), I don't reproduce this with gtk3 or gen rendering (gen rendering allows to be a bit nearer as Windows situation but not identical of course). Could you try the part https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile ? Finally, would it be possible you attach a backtrace? (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#Windows:_How_to_get_a_backtrace) BTW, "NEW" status is when a bug has been confirmed by someone else.
